Magnets Australia can assist with the design and construction of custom sized Magnetic Grids, Rods, Plates and many more pieces of magnetic separation equipment specially designed for the removal of iron particles. We have helped many clients separate ferromagnetic materials from other substances, building custom solutions that integrate perfectly with their operational needs.
One of our recent projects was with a local food producer (Corson Grain), which needed to extract ferrous contamination from their product lines in the Warwick, Queensland.
Magnets Australia provided a solution where abrasive product would normally cause our standard rods to fail and custom made Magnetic Rods from N52M magnet to have an intense magnetic field to extract ferrous contamination from their product lines. Using stainless steel tubing with a thicker wall, we were able to produce Magnetic Rods that are not only effective at protecting their product but also resistant their their abrasive product.
This new assembly, with a 14,000 gauss reading, enabled the detection and removal of undesirable substances from the their product lines before packing, ensuring a clean pure product.
These magnetic rods allowed the Corson Grain to achieve the following:
- Increased product purity through removing ferrous contamination
- Satisfied food safety auditors by having sufficient magnetic separation equipment installed to the HACCP standard.
- Reduced equipment damage by removing ferrous objects from production lines.
