Does the adhesive stick to walls?
The short answer is YES. The adhesive backing on magnetic tape is high-quality and designed to bond with a variety of surfaces, including painted timber, gyprock, tile, glass, steel, ceramic, plastic, and most other flat, clean surfaces.
However, rendered walls and untreated timber are often uneven or porous, which can reduce adhesion. Ensuring the surface is thoroughly cleaned before application can improve bonding.
For rough or porous surfaces, using additional tape—whether longer, wider, or in multiple layers—may help improve adhesion. Alternatively, a stronger adhesive like Selleys Quick Grip or Liquid Nails may be required for a more secure hold.
