How to make Photo Magnets
Inkjet printers are capable of printing images onto the non-magnetic side of thin, flexible magnetic sheets. At Magnets Australia, we offer printable magnetic sheeting in various sizes and thicknesses, allowing you to transform your digital images into flexible fridge magnets. Personalize your fridge magnets with photos of loved ones, friends, or memorable holiday moments.
Our rubber-backed magnetic sheets can withstand moderate printing temperatures of up to 80℃. However, laser printers typically produce higher printing temperatures, which can damage the magnetic sheet, rendering it non-magnetic. Therefore, laser printers are not suitable for printing on magnets. We stock A4 magnetic sheets available in a matte finish.
When using an inkjet printer, it’s recommended to feed the magnetic sheets into the printer tray one at a time to prevent jamming. Before printing on the magnetic sheet, print a test sheet of regular paper to determine which side of the magnetic sheet should face up during printing. Additionally, placing the magnetic sheet on top of several standard A4 paper sheets in the tray can help the printer pull the magnetic sheet through more smoothly, ensuring that the printed image comes out clear and sharp.
