Magnetic Levitation
Levitating magnets is a simple yet mesmerizing experiment, especially popular with kids in science classes.
In theory, all you need for levitation is two identical magnets positioned with like poles repelling each other. However, without physical restraints, the magnets will flip to align the opposite poles. The exact materials and setup will vary depending on the size, thickness, and strength of the magnets you use.
Disc magnets are commonly used for this fun experiment. Both ceramic and neodymium discs work well for demonstrating magnetic levitation.
