Magnets Safety Warning
Magnets are more powerful than most people believe and need to be handled with care to avoid damage to the magnets, personal injury or even dismemberment and death, particularly with Neodymium Magnets due to their high power to size ratio.
Please follow these safety instructions to extend the life of your magnet and to avoid any personal injury:

Always wear proper safety equipment when handling larger magnets being thick leather gloves and protective eyewear.
Large Neodymium Magnets can be attracted to other magnets or ferrous (metal) objects which can cause serious injuries. Keep your fingers off of their magnetic faces to avoid any crushing injuries.

Magnets can destroy data stored on magnetic media such as Credit Cards, Computer Hard Disk Drives, Watches and some Flash Media.

Do not allow magnets to come together with force as they will break and shatter. Due to their magnetic properties, these magnets will explode/shatter if they join with force sending sharp pieces airborne.

Do not subject your magnets to temperatures above their maximum temperature tolerance or they will loose a portion of their magnetism. See your specific product for its maximum magnet temperature tolerance.

Keep different magnet types apart from one another as the stronger magnet will cause the weaker one to demagnetise. E.g. Keep Neodymium well apart from Ceramic (Ferrite) magnets.

People with pacemakers should exercise caution around magnets as they can cause the pacemaker to reset. Depending on the magnet it may still be safe to operate near the magnet, such as our Magnetic Separation tubes for as long as the user is not pressing the magnets directly on their chest.

Magnets are not toys and should be kept out of each of children, should two be swallowed they can cause serious internal injury.
