Separating magnetic contaminates and minerals
There are numerous industrial processes where removing ferrous or magnetic contaminants is critical. One example is a customer of ours who produces grain where their raw product is shipped into Australia by container ships that often cause their product to have ferrous contaminant.
To address this, there are a couple of effective solutions:
Suspended Magnetic Plates
These can be positioned above the slurry to attract and capture contaminants as they pass through the production process. This method allows for easy collection of magnetic particles in a centralized location.
Magnetic Separation Rods
Another option is to set up a system where the slurry flows over magnetic separator rods. These bars are designed to capture contaminants directly as the material passes over them, ensuring that the final product is free of impurities.
