Our 19mm x 3mm x 6.35mm Countersunk Neodymium Ring has an outer diametre of 19mm, a inner hole diametre of 3mm and is 6.35mm thick. The 3mm hole is countersunk both sides.
The magnet is N45 grade and have its magnetism running through the thickness (axially magnetised).
This ring magnet has a pull force of 5.25 kilograms before releasing. (on a 10mm mild steel plate) and are fully sealed in a hard plastic shell making them suitable for outdoor/marine use.

Uses for our 19mm x 3mm x 6.35mm Plastic Coated Neodymium Ring:
Our Neodymium Ring Magnets (Rare Earth Magnets) have a very high power to size ratio making them ideal for where size is limitation but where a strong magnet is needed.
These doughnut magnets are plastic coated making them suitable for outdoor environments as they will not rust with exposure to the elements due to their fully sealed plastic casing. These are also suitable for marine grade use as they can handle being submerged without the casing degrading in the corrosive salt environment that would normally cause our Nickle plated magnets to fail.
Use them to create closures in outdoor gates by pairing these magnets with a ferrous stainless steel keeper. The plastic casing not only prevents rusting but also acts as a cushion ensuring the magnet inside does not crack or shatter when hit with force.
Avoid overtightening screws with this magnet as by overtightening you may place too much pressure on the plastic casing and may cause it to crack which means the magnet is no longer fully sealed so it could rust. We would also recommend using these magnets with stainless steel screws for easy installation as steel screws will be attracted to the magnet making fastening difficult.
If you are wanting to use these ring magnets to construct door catches or on heavier items to hold doors open or shut, we would recommend using our Pot Magnet Range as the steel surround not only creates a stronger single sided magnet. but also protects the magnet from impacts so it wont chip or break with use.
